Who is the worst BCS team in America?

I'm thinking Washington State. Colorado St or New Mexico St. would take that cake if the Mountain west was a BCS conference. But seriously, WSU beat Montana St by 1 point and has been blown out of all their other games.

If you thought Iowa State had it bad, be glad you aren't WSU fans. The Pac10 isn't even close to as generous with their revenue sharing as the Big 12 (last I heard WSU's budget is around 25 million) and unlike Ames which is only twenty minutes from DesMoines, WSU is over a hour and a half from any town over 50,000 (the size of DesMoines); but only 10 miles from the University of Idaho. The combined size of those two college towns is still smaller than Ames.

yeah but Washington State has a had a lot more success in their history than we have. Mike Price was a great coach and led them to the several bowl games including the Rose Bowl. Washington State also has an advantage over ISU in recruiting. For years the relied heavily on the Cal. Junior College system for some good talent. Not sure if they are using that strategy anymore.

Oregon 0-72
Texas Tech 17-52
Utah 14-56

those are good teams. but dear god...

I presume by BCS team you mean BCS league teams. If so, Wazzu and it's not even close. Even we could blow them out.

Depends on which ISU team showed up, the one that played NIU or the one that played Iowa.

I don't know. Wazzu is that bad. Our boys would have a revelatory moment lining up against a team that is just plain worse at every position. Sort of a "so this is what Texas feels like when they play us" moment.

I like Wazzu, since I obviously know what it's like to root for a bad team, but they are cellar dwellers among cellar dwellers. It would be nice to see them go back to their Rose Bowl days, but their recruiting has been pretty bad, even by our standards. A coaching change is probably in order for them.

The whole Big East Conference.

So who would win in a New mexico - Wazou game?

Among BCS conferences, I'd go with Duke or Wash St.

Minnesota might have to be thrown in the mix too. A very close win over Middle Tennessee State, a loss to South Dakota, & a drubbing by USC. If they lose to NIU today, the are definitely in the conversation.

Oregon and BYU. But USC would be the overall winner, cheating bloodsuckers that they are.
