I've always thought Minny would be a great candidate for hiring a coach who runs the triple option....they need a system there that no one else has....maybe give Ken Niumatalolo a call. I know navy hasn't looked great this year...but they did really well last season, and I'm sure he'd take the job.
He's got a hell of a lot more head coaching success than Brewster did when Minny hired him.
hey a fellow human who agrees with me that the option would work! Except i'd run it out of the Gun and run zone read with it.
If McCarney wants the job I hope he gets it. But I just don't understand why he would want it at this point in his career. He's an assistant at one of the top programs in the country and he lives in Florida.
Minnesota is a tough, tough, tough job. They are in a city that doesn't care about college football. They might have a lot of resources, but they are competing with schools with the same resources.
I don't really care for Brewster, but I felt bad for him at the end of the game when the TV announcers were talking about him getting fired.
