And if watching Duke football wasn't hard enough..
The students will now have to do it sober.
I will say that a 14 year old in that state is a bit ridiculous, but to completely cancel it? The feeling I got from the article is that Duke is just using this as a scape goat to get what they wanted.

"Duke has long tried to cull the tradition, which can begin as early as four hours before noon football games."
Lightweights. There have been times before the Iowa game at JTS where we were tailgating seven or eight hours before kickoff, and that is for an 11:00 am kick.

Tough call. At a school like that, you don't want to destroy your future football fans and season ticket holders. Pollard knows better than to do something like this. The last thing that you need is to turn away the students. My advice would be to do like ISU did...segregate them off in their own lot so that they don't affect the donors or families, then have a heavy police presence to keep things from getting too out of hand and stop obvious minors from drinking in public. I think that ISU is fair about it...the students get to have fun in basically their own area, but the cops make sure it doesn't get over the top crazy.

Yeah, I'd feel pretty worthless if I got down there 4 hours before kickoff.
