I read somewhere that when football games were played at Wrigley in the past, the end zones were shortened to 8 yards to accommodate the cramped dimensions. Also, the field at Yankee Stadium looks much better because it isn't quite the shoebox that Wrigley is.
Either way, the decision makers on this one need to be fired. This is ridiculous.
They think a wall near the endzone is dangerous? There's padding and you will always know that it's there. It's football. A wide receiver trying to make a catch and getting laid out by a safety that he does not know is there is much more dangerous. Still horrible event planning by whoever's idea for the field that was.
