That has to be the craziest thing I've ever read. Definitely won't be more football games at Wrigley if you can only use one endzone, and have to essentially change the way the game is played...
Actually wanted to watch this game but it's on ESPN U, which I don't have. Looks like I'll have to find another way to watch this while watching tOSU-Iowa.
People at the other end of the field are going to be ******.
That is just messed up probably won't have another game there.
some funny comments in the article.
So, they couldn't have researched this before deciding to have a game in Wrigley? It would have taken some dude with a tape measure 5 minutes to figure out this is a dumb idea.
Damn, and I was hoping for some corner end-zone fade patterns that lead right into the wall.
Strange. Wrigley's dimensions must have changed. I believe it owns the record for most NFL games played in a single stadium.
Wrigley Field once held the record for the most NFL games played in a single stadium with 365 regular season NFL games, but this record was surpassed in September 2003 by Giants Stadium in New Jersey, thanks to its dual-occupancy by the New York Giants and New York Jets
EDIT: Wouldn't be surprised, though, if the dimensions had changed since the Bears and others played there.
Bears used to play with the field parallel to the left field line. Not sure why they chose right field this time. Plus they've recently added several rows of high priced seats on either side of the dugouts that may have shrunk the field further. It was just a poor idea from the beginning. The field just doesn't fit anymore. Nice to see the Big 10 mess things up once in awhile rather than the Big 12 and Beebe taking all the heat.
