OK, so you hire Harbaugh. Do you think he will around in the long term? Let's just say he is an animal and wins The Big Ten in year 2. Don't forget he hasn't won a conference championship yet so this is very generous. Then he wins a NC in year 3. Then he's gone. So, then you do this all over again. That is my reservation on Harbaugh. I don't think he is in college for the long term. RR most certainly is. Maybe a lot of me just wants to see this offense with a Senior Denard.

Just look at what Harbaugh has done in the same time period: taken one of the worst BCS programs in the country and made Stanford a national bully.
RR also named himself the special teams coach, and they have regressed every year he's been there.
As for Michigan improving from 5 to 7 wins...this is Michigan we're talking about, not Purdue. They're still miles from the likes of Wisconsin, Iowa, OSU, even Penn State.
They aren't miles off. Again, evidence right here. Look at the experience of those teams with the exception of PSU. You ask where are RR's guys and I say they are out there, as RS freshmen who were recievers last year, as freshman corners who never played it in high school and absolutely needed a RS, as walk on RS sophomores who have played for two years simply because there weren't safeties on the rest when RR got there. I loved Lloyd, hated to see him go, but he left nothing except Brandon Graham and DOnovan Warren when he left. Out of the eleven starters, 4 are RR guys. All are in the secondary.
As for special teams, yeah. Kickers are terrible. Punters are awesome though. Returns have been bad, very bad until last week as well. Something needs to be done there.
I am not going to say there aren't weakneses on this team. There are a bunch and they are glaring. I just think this offense, if they just get a little help, could be very very special in the long term and be enough to carry them back to being a powerhouse for a very long time. I don't know that will happen, but I am willing to go three bad years for 20 great years.
