Re: Most liked non-ISU basketball team
UNC. I always used to play as them when I played my NCAA Basketball game on Super Nintendo as a kid. I also love the Argyle styling on the uniforms.

The alumnus in me says Valpo, but it has been hard since Homer Drew was head coach and Scott Drew was doing all of the recruiting. Sports journalism is people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for people who can't read. -

Re: Most liked non-ISU basketball team
Minnesota b/c I live in the area and have attended quite a few games with my father-in-law. I like Tubby and Williams Arena, so that helps too. I think they'll have a very good season, regardless of their hickup against Virginia.
....with that said, my interest in the Gophers isn't even close to the Cyclones.
I'm not afraid to admit that I'll be watching HB and the Tarheels a lot this year, even though they're playing pretty bad bball right now. It's only a matter of time before HB gets comfortable with the college game and lives up to the hype.

Any team that is beating the **** out of UNC.

Re: Most liked non-ISU basketball team
Kansas. Because they have a great tradition (their first coach invented the game, I believe), because we have family in Lawrence, and because I went there for grad. school.

Re: Most liked non-ISU basketball team
This isnt going to go over well...
Syracuse: I had the pleasure of being in Syracuse during the Big East Tourney game against UCONN 2 years back. The locals take s*it pretty serious up there. The bar stayed open after hours and people were still filing in to see the end. Jim B. is a respectable coach aswell.

That's about as bad as saying your favorite football team other than ISU is kNU or the hawks.

Creighton for solving our problem. Oregon for an Altman assist.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Most liked non-ISU basketball team
I've got one for most conferences:
Big Ten: Minnesota
MVC: Wichita St.
SEC: Arkansas
Pac 10: Stanford
ACC: Virginia Tech
Big East: UConn
Makes following the other conferences fun.

Re: Most liked non-ISU basketball team
I like the Zags, even though they ruin my bracket every year because I'm an idiot and run them to the Elite 8.
