Overgeneralizing. A good mid-major program, which Creighton has been (prior to this season) should expect to be able to beat a bad bcs conference team, which Nebraska has been for a long time.

The Jays should beat Nebraska but its almost always a very close game and the series has been pretty even lately. I'm not sure why people assumed we were a lock to beat Creighton (because theyre a lowly MVC team) and then turn around and expect them to beat Nebraska. I mean as a program what have we done that Nebraska hasn't the last 5 years? Wait I forgot all logic goes out the window during the midst of a McD bashfest (I'm in no way defending McD but I'm sure someone will assume I am)

Sadly I agree. I only really care because I grew up near the Omaha metro and Creighton was always an easy team to root for with all the Iowan's they've had over the years. I think this process was set in motion before McD was hired but he will be the straw that broke the camels back. I do however think that this lose to Nebraska is getting blown way out of proportion.

UNI fans just learned to appreciate Ben Jacobson even more today.

That line probably wasn't there in the first half. That stuff happens all the time. It's easy to forget about that.

the Huskers have won the last few times in Lincoln, Altman dominated this series early on but Sadler has made it pretty competitive.

In the last 9 years Nebraska has finished higher in the Big 12 standings 5 times. In the last 10 years we are 13-7 against them head to head. Good, but hardly dominating. Other conference schools do not view ISU basketball as much better than Nebraska basketball. Sucks, but it is true.

Why would you frame the series in the best possible recent time frame for Nebraska...and it's still 13-7 in ISU's favor? How is 01-03 any more relavent than our 99-01 Big 12 title years when we crushed everybody?
