Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
Creighton had an 11 point lead with like 5-6 minutes left in the first half, led at half by 8, and blew that lead within 2-3 minutes of the start of the second half. Business as usual for Greg McDermott.
We don't have a lot of room to talk, but his slow starts after half haven't changed.

I want to say i'm surprised and that Creighton has superior talent....but in close games it comes down to coaching....
Re: Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
This is what we had in McDermott, the exact same thing. I want to send a huge thank you to Creighton. You paid us to take him! This is amazing!
Re: Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
How is this possible? I thought McDermott didn't lose games when he held the opponent under 60 points:jimlad:

* Choking in the second half and losing is a registered trademark of Greg McDermott, Inc.
Re: Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
I don't have anything against Greg as a person, but I will laugh out loud if he leaves fair weather Cornhusker fans with no basketball team to cheer for.
UNI could go to the sweet 16 a few more years in a row, and ISU and Iowa fans would not switch teams for the winter like they do. They are simply worse fans. They only support a steady winner, they will leave Creighton in the dust after a few bad years.

You guy have to remember that Creighton has only had GMac for a little while, it has taken him a couple extra weeks to get a good team to play down to his level. They will continue to get worse as the season goes.
Re: Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
It was a one shot diff with fifteen seconds left. Two missed threes and it was over as Nebby scored a junker bucket.

QFT!!!! That is why we got out to a fast start last year!
Re: Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
This kind of goes to show that we really haven't beaten anyone this year. So far, against legit teams we're 0-2

Most Iowa football fans I know are UNI basketball fans.

I agree that ISU is not great or even good. I don't know why anyone would think so with the lack of talent, depth and experience on this team. They are fun to watch when they are hitting shots. That is going to have to be good enough for fans this year. If Hamilton or Gilstrap or White where playing, thinks had a chance to be better, but there is almost zero post presents for this team, and it really showed in the last two games.
I still think the Clones are going to shoot there way to into a win or two they shouldn't sometime this year.
Re: Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
Wow, they can't be happy about this one.
I would like to express my gratitude again towards Oregon for the first domino that started our road to Freddyball.
Creighton fans learned a valuable lesson today about halftime leads and Greg McDermott.
UNI fans just learned to appreciate Ben Jacobson even more today.
When Greg struggles this year with a team that's been decent, will anyone note that he hasn't had a winning season since leaving Ben at UNI?
Re: Creighton falls to Nebraska 59-54
Creighton missed 27 (!) threes and only made 6. Nebraska also attempted 31 three pointers. They were a combined .234 shooting threes.
