Just fine with me. The Non-AQ programs that are worth a damn are all manning up and joining AQ leagues. Even as bad as the Big East and ACC can be at times, with TCU, Utah, and BYU leaving the MWC, the gap between the worst BCS leagues and best non-AQ leagues is going to be bigger than ever.

I wouldn't mind going back to the old system. Concentrate on winning your conference and getting to your conference's top bowl tie-in.

Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't understand Delany's quotes in that article.

When they mentioned going back to the way things were, it made me cringe. I remember back in the day when conferences were locked into bowl games no matter what and some years we couldn't have a true national championship game. Say what you will about the BCS but at least it eliminates that possibility with the BCS conferences

Count me as someone who doesn't give a crap about a true national championship game.

Ok, granted Auburn vs. Oregon will be a great game but don't pretend like those other BCS matchups are anything to get excited about.

The BCS will stay. It basically allows the conference tie-ins, but (usually) gives you the legit National Title game.

I kinda like to see them have 3 bowl tie ins per conference after the BCS and then all other bowl slots are open to who ever the bowl wants and can get

I'm guessing the Cotton Bowl in Jerry World will get elevated to BCS status and be included in the title game rotation before too long. That will be two more spots and they can do away with that rule of only two schools per BCS conference. So next time you have three 11-1 teams in a league like the Big Ten this year, all three will get in.

I would like to see them make a rule that says a conference champ must be in the final top 15 to get a guaranteed spot...I'm looking at you UCONN
