Re: How awesome is this.....
I don't mind this play as much as other "trick" plays. The line is set, the center shotgun snaps the ball, why is everyone still standing around?

Totally agree, nothing unsportsmanlike here, just taking advantage of the other team not paying attention. Too bad for the other team that only one of their guys realized the ball was live!

I take it that you can be "set" even when standing?

Re: How awesome is this.....
All credit in the world for the CB playing it for what it was. Imagine if he actually had some safety help over the top...

Re: How awesome is this.....
Why were the defense linemen just standing there? If that ball was snapped i would of busted right through the O-line.

Personally I have no problem with it (the play is so viral now there's no excuse not being ready for it), but a lot of people think it's not within the spirit of the game, even if it's clearly within the rules (at least in some states).

Re: How awesome is this.....
I still think the defense is clueless. When the ball is snapped its a live ball.

Because skill positions obviously don't adhere to this rule (WR hands in front or at their side, stand up TE, RB etc.)

Re: How awesome is this.....
The wrong ball play (or similar plays) are busch league when used in Pee Wee and Jr High. High school is okay with me. This play is just the defense being incredibly unaware of what is going on. I still cant figure out what the Dline was doing...
