He just gets his biggest HC job, then pulls this stunt?? This might not end to well for him.

Wonder if he's even signed his contract.

I'm wondering if he has any job security at this moment. (Of course, I'm not alone, based on your post.)
This could end very badly for him, and probably should if he's this awesome.

And that's how Iowa State lost Paul Rhoads. Seriously, this is the kind of bizarre thing that always screws over ISU.

Wait... Except that the story you're referring to was a previous relationship with a decent time gap between that incident and this hiring, so there could be a demonstrated change in attitudes and behaviors.
This one has occurred after the hiring, which indicates that it is a current behavior.

I remember Dan McCarney having some similar issues while we were hiring him.

New Pitt coach Mike Haywood jailed on domestic violence charge - ESPN
Haywood will be held without bond in the St. Joseph County jail until he goes before a judge. Redman said that might occur over the weekend, but no later than Monday.

I think that led into a long discussion about the year that Ferentz coached without a contract at Iowa, when he probably had this sort of memo to operate under.
