There seems to be some smoke around Les Miles going to Michigan. It's very shody but there is also something about Pelini being contacted by LSU.
There is no doubt Les Miles would bring Michigan back to where it aspires to be, but I gotta say I don't really care for his personality.
Rumor has it Les' wife does not to move back to Ann Arbor. She was an assistant there at one time. I'm guessing family reasons.
Michigan could very well hire Hoke by default. This is probably the worst handled coaching firing/hiring I think I've seen.

I think you're right, but the right coach may take 4 or 5 years to get this program where it needs to be. Will they give someone that much time? I don't know.
One thing is for certain, whoever the next coach is will be the right coach in my mind until they get busted for something. Exception:Les Miles. If he is hired I probably won't root for Michigan anymore.
I think your spot on with the 4-5 year thing. Its almost guaranteed that nothing is gonna happen for atleast 3. I am actually a Michigan fan second so I think all of this is just ridiculous. I guess my opinion is, why fire him now when you are only setting the program back even more. Yes I realize that there wasn't ever a tight bond there, but you have to give a coach a chance. Rich Rod has the same track record when he started out at WV. He only won 3 games his first year at WV. This guy has proven that he can recruit and can win games. His age is right where you prefer him to be, he has had success and with it being Michigan, not many other schools would be able to pull him away. He would of been there a long time.
I am also not very giddy if Miles is hired. Yes he can win but there is just something about Miles I just don't like. It may be his arrogance but what it is, I just can't say. In the end, I hope Michigan comes outta this ok. I just get a bad feeling Michigan could be worse than they were before with Rich Rod.

Sorry to resurrect but I felt that I needed to let Tornado know Hoke is winning me over. When you hire a DC that has consistently put great defenses on the field in both the NFL and college levels, then you start to grab my attention. Michigan just hired the Ravens DC Greg Mattison.
