Another Minnesota MBB Transfer
Sounds like Devoe Joseph is transferring from Minnesota. He's averaging 11.3 PG, but has had some character issues.
Wonder where he'll end up, and if he and Royce White are buddies... Devoe Joseph appears done in Minnesota - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. -

I'd take him considering were losing Allen and Scotty after next year.

I don't like the mom factor. However, If we can get his head straight why not.

Re: Another Minnesota MBB Transfer
If he transfers right now, would he have a year and a half after sitting out first semester next year?

Re: Another Minnesota MBB Transfer
I'm all for the transfers we have to rebuild our program because of the bind we were/are in, but I'd rather go get talented freshmen than be Transfer U.

Asteroids are nature's way of asking "How's that space program going?" -
Re: Another Minnesota MBB Transfer
Oklahoma State was a program that acquired many transfers through the years and it worked out well for them. It's a nice resource for a program like us (and them pre-Boone Pickens going bananas) who can't always recruit top level talent out of high school.

Go out, recruit, and develop. No need to continue to take risks all the time.

I am all for getting the most talented players we can get. I hope we can mix that with freshman that will develope. However we are not North Carolina so if we can get some of these kids then I say we do it. He did not break any laws.

If he can come in right now, and play for two conference seasons (2011-12 and 2012-13), I think it would be a good move. Of course, someone would need to not be here next year.

We can do better or should at least strive to.
