Re: tOSU Shows it Can Match SEC in Speed, Power and Questionable Ethics
It's obvious what all five of those players care most about, and that is $$. It's not like they were selling that stuff to feed their family, they just wanted to get some sweet tats.
If any one of those players thinks they have a shot at going early in the NFL draft they are as good as gone. I'm sure the seedy agents have already descended upon Columbus and are opening their wallets.
About the actual game...
Mallett really hurt his draft stock last night. The guy just couldn't deliver a clean pass under pressure. His receivers didn't help him out much (5 drops?), but I can see a lot of NFL scouts having some serious concerns about him after that game.
Two Arkansas players had a chance to scoop that punt up, but instead chose to dive on it. How do you execute special teams almost perfectly all game and then blow it there. Mind-boggling.
After Ark's reciever dropped the ball on 1st down I had a sinking feeling that Mallett was going to get frustrated and make an ill-advised pass...Crap. Would've been one of the greatest comebacks of all time, instead it will just be remembered as another example of the NCAA's favoritism for their top-grossing institutions.

because everyone cares about moral superiority, not. they preach it and say it because it looks nice in the media. but no top of the line programs practice it totally. they do what they got to do to win 10-12 games every year. so what, as long as they are making bank, winning, and allowed to do so, they will, should, and will.

Then disband the NCAA and let the bidding wars for players begin. I wouldn't mind them turning a blind eye to this stuff if they would stop punishing guys like Jiri for accepting gifts from a "booster" for driving a 20 year old car with Hawkeye license plates.

OSU has been the media's whipping boy because of their failures in the NC game and that's it. I'm not sure why OU gets a pass on that. I think them not mentioning the ACC's horrible BCS bowl record is like them not wanting to kick a man while he's down.

Most of the national media attention I saw around tOSU this year had to do with them not beating an SEC team in a bowl...ever.
Did you not watch the Fiesta Bowl? The media went on and on about the stigma around Stoops and his failures in BCS games. Maybe you don't hear much about OU because you only pay attention to Big Ten football.

Although, I didn't watch the Nebraska-Washington game for the same reason
