Re: Pelini snubs Naval Officer
Nothing but a simple case of Nebraska Football in my opinion...Over promise, under deliver. I'm sorry, did someone say National Championship?

Re: Pelini snubs Naval Officer
The kid is from my hometown and my kid brother went to school with him. I don't know him, but honestly under the circumstances I don't think anyone would expect to call a play.
I agree with the above post that Pelini likely promised the play-call with the assumption that it would be a blowout. I'm not a big fan of Pelini, but this article is a little over the top.

Yeah its like saying you will hit a homerun for a dying kid and striking out. would if you could but it wasn't a contract.

I wonder what Cooter Ray Cornholer has to say about this. Twitter What ever happened to truth, justice and the American Way? -
Re: Pelini snubs Naval Officer
I won't think less of Bo Pelini, so that won't be a problem.

I hate to say anything negative about a service member, but this little quote made me laugh:
"If we were still in the Big 12, (I'd want to see) Texas at Nebraska," Ryan said with a smirk. "Texas at Nebraska . . . so maybe we can get some fair calls."

Re: Pelini snubs Naval Officer
Cam Cameron did it... ESPN The Magazine - Rick Reilly: Matthew Costello, 14 years old and with an inoperable brain tumor, is calling plays for Cam Cameron, Joe Flacco and the Ravens - ESPN
Serious, first offense play, just walk over ask run or pass. Get your answer, run the play and thank the guy for coming to the game and serving in the military. But since Pelini is such an ***bag he can't even do that right.

Re: Pelini snubs Naval Officer
Charlie Weis did it too. Seriously, he called the play regardless of the circumstance. It is called class and we have known for a while NU doesn't have any. As much as I hate Notre Dame, they do have some class. Weis uses play called by 10-year-old boy dying of inoperable brain tumor - College Football - ESPN

Re: Pelini snubs Naval Officer
As arrogant as he was, even Charlie Weis kept his promise in a much tougher situation… Weis grants little boy's dying wish - College Football - ESPN -
Re: Pelini snubs Naval Officer
However, he has the social skills of a slug so this is what you get.
This +1,000.
I work with developmentally disabled adults who have better social skills than Bo Pellini. Also a much higher degree of emotional intelligence.
Seriously, has there been a more unlikable coach in recent memory than Bo? The guy just looks like the classic junior high gym teacher from hell. What a *******.
