Best Prior Article yet. NCAA is super shady
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

That is a pretty well put together article in my opinion...
To add to it, following last nights' game when being interviewed on ESPN and asked about his return for next season, his response:
"Alright..."

Curious if Pryor thinks he's ready to be an NFL QB. He looked ok last night, but Arkansas pass defense was pretty bad. He was throwing to a lot of wide open receivers.
From what I have read, most experts don't have him going on the first day, if he decides to come out, and some don't expect him to be drafted as a QB at all, but rather as a WR or TE.

NCAA is a joke and this is another instance showing their hypocrisy. I doubt there will be any ramifications except it furthers public perception that the NCAA doesn't care about the student athletes, athletics, the universities except for how much money it can make them.

And to think I once liked and respected Gene Smith...
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -
Re: Best Prior Article yet. NCAA is super shady
It's not just Ohio State, it's everywhere.
Do people think what went on the 80's at SMU doesn't go on anymore? Like that was just an isolated incident. Come on. If guys were getting X back then they are getting 10X now. Crazy to think otherwise.
If the NCAA wanted to stop it they would drope the hammer. No TV for a few years, but it doesn't happen. NCAA is a joke and the big schools know the NCAA can't do anything to stop them. Soemthing is going to have to give at some point. NCAA is neutering themselves by not stopping this ****, and soon they will be helpless to do anything.

Bingo! The NCAA is all about one thing... making money... that's it. Don't pretend anything else matters because it doesn't.
If Cam Newton had been on ISU this year, playing on a 5-7 team, he would have been kicked out of college football for cheating... guaranteed. But... he was the clear Heisman favorite and playing on a team headed for the National Championship game. Do you really think the NCAA wanted Auburn to be in the National Championship game without their star Cam Newton at QB? No. It would hurt the TV ratings immensely.
Same goes for last night as well. Nobody would have watched last night if Terrelle Pryor and 4 other key starters weren't playing for OSU. So go ahead and suspend them, but don't do it for the NCAA's BCS Sugar Bowl game, do it at the beginning of next season instead. What a complete joke!

That was a good article. I especially liked:
"Unsupervised, out-of-state test drivers of used cars are common practice, correct?"

Re: Best Prior Article yet. NCAA is super shady
Kinda makes Hubaleks suspension look downright silly and mean, doesn't it? Some enterprising lawyer needs to fight the NCAA dirty sometime and make them squirm. This selective rules enforcement concerning the big boys gets old.

The NCAA administrators are just licking their chops for the next low level BCS school to get caught violating a rule, so they can demonstrate their new tougher enforcement policies.

What makes the situation even sadder is that the suspensions for next year will probably be watered down through an appeal. Does anyone really believe that they will sit out the 5th game next year against Michigan State?

If enough people boycotted the championship game and TV ratings fell then it make the NCAA take notice but sadly that is a pipe dream. Tressel's pinky swear won't hold any water and they will all be gone to the NFL. Poor OSU will have to fill their spots with the redshirted 4 and 5 star recruits they have waiting in the wings.

Re: Best Prior Article yet. NCAA is super shady
When Rivals.com - a website dedicated to NCAA sports recruitment - is saying that the NCAA (their prize hog) is corrupt, you know that it is turning sour. You don't badmouth the entities you benefit from unless it is to the point where either it is so bad you can't ignore it or the truth doesn't matter anymore.
