Those rankings look pretty fair to me.

I know that Oregon beat Stanford earlier in the season, but I was most impressed with Stanford from all the teams and bowls I watched this season. I would have loved a Final Four-playoff bracket of Stanford vs. Auburn and Oregon vs. TCU to end the season. I think I would have taken Stanford versus any other team.

Anything else is ludicrous. Game last night was decided by a last second field goal. Oregon stays #2. I like and respect TCU but the grind of a schedule matters. TCU's performance against San Diego State would have been a loss in the Pac 10 or SEC or any other major conference. TCU doesn't run the table in the SEC, Pac 10, Big 12 or Big 10. Might have in the ACC or Big East.

As for the Big Ten, TCU beat the best team in the Big 10 on a neutral field. Why are you so sure that they would not have run the table in the Big 10 based on the results?

I suppose we can just say something would be true even though we don't know it would have been true. You can deal in hypotheticals all you want, but you cannot say with certainty that those things are true.

Neither team played well last night. There was a bunch of mistakes that were not caused by the other team. I didn't feel either one was as impressive as TCU. SO TCU had one close game. So did everyone else against teams they shouldn't have. Kentucky almost beat Auburn. That would have been a loss if they were playing Alabama that week. See? That's ridiculous.

TCU would beat Auburn. Anybody who says otherwise has absolutely no way to prove it.

San Diego St scored a cpl late TDs to make that game appear closer than it was. TCU was leading 40-21 well into the 4th. If you want to make "the grind" argument, let's look at Stanford. They played one ranked team during the regular season and lost, I don't find beating Va Tech more impressive than beating Wisconsin. Also what about Stanford's close wins over ASU 17-13 or Washington St 38-28? Using your logic Stanford's performance against those teams would have been a loss in any other major conference, so we should penalize them for that.

I would have loved to see TCU play Auburn, I think TCU would be able to handle them.
