He can recruit but I dont think he can coach worth a darn. He has also been at the top names in college basketball so it is almost a given recruits come to you. Put him at per say Mizzo or Arkansas for example and I dont think he is worth a ****.
i don't care about his coaching or his national championships, i just think the guy is a whiner and needs to take the criticism that comes with the job.
I wonder if we might be seeing the beginning of the end of Roy Williams coaching a top team. Something was very wrong last year and this year seems to be more of the same.
I also think that maybe it was a mistake by him to go so hard after Paige. If he learned anything this year is that a star kid from Iowa might not carry your team right away. And Paige isn't anywhere near the level of Barnes.

Bad point guard play. Larry Drew III is not a good college basketball player. Roy's great teams, at UNC and Kansas, always have a strong point guard. Kendall Marshall might be that guy but he's been underwhelming so far this year too.

Right, but why hasn't he fixed this? And is Paige really the answer in 2 years?
actually after raef was booed at Hilton, I believe Fred said "if I was a big guy, I'd have gone to kansas too."
hinrich committed to Floyd, so i'm not sure why people are so annoyed about that one - yes he would've come here, but not when you lose your coach. HB no way, he loves Jordan. Paige, not sure.
