Maybe in this day and age what Ron did was wrong but in my opinion, it should not resort to firing.

the fact that it was not his first incident is going to be hard for him to get around. He'd been disciplined before. Doesn't matter if the Jeannie Edwards incident by itself was bad enough to get him fired. He already had a strike against him. He knew what his employer's expectations, and decided he didn't care. I don't feel sorry for him one bit.

I like Ron when he is calling games. However, he was unprofessional and showed zero class. In this day and age it is not tolerated, but it was always the wrong way to act. Lack of consequences doesn't justify being openly sexist and hostile to a co-worker IMO.

Funny how the guy was a moron multiple times on-camera, and then he's going to sue for wrongful termination. Erm - Okay... 
Probably a calculated cash grab - seeing if he can't squeeze a little bit of cash out of ESPN by making them settle out of court.

I've worked with guys who filed lawsuits for doing much worse and they were not only awarded their jobs back, they received back pay. It all depends on the judge.
A judge is BOTH a politician and a lawyer, but put him a $20 black robe and people think he is the pillar of honesty and virtue.
Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it).

I hope he wins. They exchanged contenious words when she interrupted a private conversation before they were working the Bowl game. I would have told her to shut up to if she was repeatedly interrupting my conversation. And since it happened before they were working he shouldn't have been fired.

I enjoyed Fran Freschella and Ron Franklin doing ISU games. Sad to see him go in that I liked him doing games, but sounds like he made his own bed on this one.
