Alternate Colored Uniforms

Over the years i have noticed that every once in a while a college or pro team dons an alternate colored "uni" during a game. Some teams have one, and if your Oregon you have 1,000. Also there are teams that just dont have an alternate, like us. So, over time i have kind of grown to like the alternates, and i was wondering what CF's approval of the good ole alternate jersey is.

This poses another question, does Iowa State need alternate basketball uniforms? following after the example set by the football team.

I think it would be neat to have alternate uniforms in basketball for special occasions. The KU game would have been a good time if we had em.

It would be nice to have an alternate uniform for basketball. Something gold but a little more imaginative than the gold ones we've worn in recent years.

I like the idea of having an alternative for football that you wear once a year maybe. It gets the players excited.

Didn't we do that? We wore pink. Worked for Fennelly, not for McDermott.

I like the alternative idea, but I think now most teams just use them as a money grab to sell more jerseys.

I like the Maryland gold alternates, I think Cyclones in cursive would look cool.
