One game after making 16 3-pointers against Bowling Green, the Zips were only 3 of 9 from long range while Creighton was 6 of 18.
Doug McDermott had 16 points and 16 rebounds for the Bluejays, who had a 42-32 rebounding edge.
Second half collapse.
Down 40-36 with 14:37 left, Akron went on an 11-4 run, punctuated by two layups apiece by McKnight and Cvetinovic, to take the lead for good.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
I know people enjoy seeing Creighton lose. But how was this a collapse? Creighton was down by 1 at halftime and I think only up by 4 with 11 minutes left.... They are a mediocre team that got beat on the road by another mediocre team.
I don't consider this one a collapse. Honestly...I didn't know their record was that good and they are 9-7 in conf.
They may actually sneak into the NIT with a strong finish and good showing in STL.
They have been playing better recently in the Valley but Weasel Wesley only posts about CU when they lose. They have a legit chance to win the Valley tourney.
I was previously a Creighton fan, but Mac has ruined Jays basketball for me. The similarities between Mac coached ISU teams and Creighton, and both fanbases' complaints about the teams/coaching are amazing.

No way.

I love to see another loss. I have several hawk friends, I am going to have to borrow some of their gear next basketball season as they play against Creighton at Wells Fargo Arena. Hell, maybe I will go to the game painted black and gold.
