Did anyone else find him intolerable during the Gonzaga-St Johns game last night. The NY/NJ and Big East Bias was ridiculous. The "Johnies" must have been title favorites and no one told me. Even after getting killed they talked about how good they are going to be in the future.
FYI Bill. They do play basketball west of the hudson.
the worst part of march madness is the CBS announcers. Dick Vitale and Rafferty both drive me nuts. Its like shut up already.

Unfortunately, for me, I can NOT and will NOT listen to ANY of Dukie V's bullchit! He absolutely ruins the game for me! I'd take 10 Bill Rafferty's over 1 Dukie V.
Raftery drives me nuts. Somebody from CBS needs to Old Yeller him.
Raf must be a big drinker, those guys are always talking about it like that anyway.

Thing after Raftery is, he has developed a half-dozen signature comments, and he finds a way to use all of them. So he's "reliable" that way, but if you don't like his shtick (or if it seems tired) you're going to hate him.

How can you not like Rafftery? He's by far my favorite announcer in college basketball. The Sean McDonough, Rafttery, Jay Bilas team is the college basketball announcing trio in the game today. As for his supposed Big East bias, he was giving Gonzaga plenty of compliments too, going on and on about how they're such a good passing team, and how well coached they are. To even compare him to Dick Vitale is ridiculous, he's so much better than Vitale.
I like him, and actually find him to know the game as well as anyone if you listen past some of the catch phrases and stories (which I find funny).Quote:
