Pearl
Looks like Pearl's team really laid down on him. Mich can't be that good to whip them by 30.
Wonder if he will be canned.
Was Pearl the same guy that ratted on Illinois when he was with Iowa over some player that was offered a car? Guess it takes a cheat and liar to know one when he sees it.

Re: Pearl
I believe that was his worse loss at Tennessee... Can't be looking that good for him...

Re: Pearl
I was thinking the same thing after the loss. Horrible time (day before) for Tenn to comment on his future being unknown. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up somewhere else. hope not the big 12

It was him. The player was Deon Thomas.

Re: Pearl
pearl's career is over, he's not getting another job when you lie to the ncaa, lie to parents/recruits, etc. even by college basketball standards he's unemployable. the ncaa is going to hammer him, the tenn AD already knows that.

The school that wants to hire him should learn from experience of Indiana when hiring Kelvin Sampson. The NCAA will always scrutinize him closely.

I dunno - Calipari lies to the NCAA on a regular basis and he just seems to keep climbing the job status latter while leaving a wake of destruction behind him...

Re: Pearl
Does anybody feel it was real underhanded the way the AD came out two days before this game and made public comments something to the effect he doesn't know the future of Pearl's status and basically threw him under the bus.
I feel he should have kept his mouth shut for the sake of the players getting ready for an NCAA game; then waited till the season was officially over. If I was Pearl I would have been really pizzed, but in the PC, he just rolled over and said it was all his fault for being in this position.

Re: Pearl
Pearl should be embarrased. I watch the first half and he has WAY more athleticism on his team than MU does.

Re: Pearl
Maybe if he inflicts an additional 5 game suspension on himself he can save his skin -

Calipari has never gotten into trouble for lying to the NCAA. He's been involved with some shady things, but he's never gotten caught in a lie. Pearl will probably be hit with a long suspension and possibly a Show Cause penalty. If he gets that his NCAA coaching career will be over for good.
