Big Ten Network

Holy crap, this big 10 network rules! Right now all the current big10 games are on Big10A Big10B and Big10. They are putting three subchannels out in case you are blacked out, and directv is picking up them all! If this were the big12 network, I would pay $10 a month for this.

Edit: scratch that, there are 4!!!! games on the big10 network right now.

Re: Big Ten Network

I agree the game broadcast is first rate, however it's clear that no one has bought advertising on the network.
Count how many times you'll see promos for the network, I mean my god if I have to watch that guy turn his front yard into a parking lot I'm going to puke.
I also felt bad for Brennaman when he had to read the " tune in tomorrow for the debut of woman's soccer exclusively on the BTN.
Good game quality but the jury is still out.

However the next Erin Andrews is working the sidelines, she won't be with the BTN for long. Wow!

Re: Big Ten Network

hey football is football, and I can catch every single big10 game between espn2 espnU and the big10 network. The big12 just cannot compete. I am so sick of the big12 package, they were the ones that needed their own network.

Nope, directv sucks big time for HD. Right now they offer next to nothing in HD.

Ah well, maybe in the near future they'll step that up.

Eitherway the more football you can watch the better imo

I heard that Mediacom and the BTN came to some kind of agreement. Is that true? Are any BTN channels on Mediacom cable in Ames?

They have been saying they are "close" to brining 500 channels for the last 4 years. I will believe it when I see it.

Re: Big Ten Network

I got an automated call the other day saying they are going to be adding 70+ new HD channels soon and that I needed to verify I have and hooked up the B-band converters (which I do).

So, hopefully some progress will soon be made.

As far as the BTN...I'm only seeing BTN and BTNa on 220 and 221. Where are you seeing the other 2?

I have 3 HR10-250's they will not do Mpeg4, and DTV wants me to spend $300 each to upgrade them. Hah!
