What will Big 10 fans think if Nebraska is their champion?

How will that go over in Big 10 country if Nebby wins the title in their first season?

Most magazines have Nebby vs. OSU in the title game. Now with the Tressel thing going down, I'd say Nebby has a decent shot.

As much as I hate Nebraska, I'd find it kinda funny if a Big 12 North team won the Big 10 title in year one.

They have a built-in excuse now when OSU isn't any good this season. The B16 is top heavy, and has been for awhile. Trust me, they won't give any due to the B12.

It would be pretty funny if they were to win that conference. They should have a pretty good D, so it's not impossible, although their schedule is brutal.

It will be pretty funny to hear the Hawk fans make excuses when they lose in Lincoln this year though.

I would say that schedule is really not too bad. They have most of their toughest opponents at home which really helps and the ones on the road are very winable. Their toughest test looks like the Wisconsin road game and after that I don't see too much they should worry about too much. They definately won't finish 8-0 in the Big 10, but I would say that getting through that conference schedule with only one loss is definately possible for them.

Nebraska was very one dimensional on offense last season...unless Taylor Martinez learned how to throw a football in the off season, their offense will continue to struggle....even more in the Big Ten then they did in the Big 12.

Big 12 defenses are much more geared toward shutting down the pass then the run (out of necessity)...Big 10 defenses are the other way around. UNL will struggle in Big Ten play unless they are much better passing the ball in 2011 then they were in 2010.

My guess is that UNL loses 3 Big Ten games....not sure which they'll be....but they can't take a week off with the schedule they have, and I don't think they are deep enough to bring their A game every week.

Nebraska isn't any better than iowa, neither of which is good enough to win the conference.
