Re: Big East move... dream scenario

"ISU to the Big East" and "dream scenario" in the same sentence makes me vomit in my mouth a little. I'll be honest, I'd probably stop paying attention if ISU was forced into an absolutely awful move like that.

I don't believe we can compete in a new Big XII. Our only chance was to compete in a Big XII North.

How many times, in our history, have we beat a GOOD South team?
I believe the general definition of a defeatist is someone willing to accept that they can never accomplish more. Are you going to argue you don't have a defeatist attitude after this post? Also, Nebraska was a decent team.

This post reeks of someone who hasn't watched a game at the Jack during a week when Texas, OU, or OSU was in town...

Our fans are notorious for not showing up the last few weeks of the season. Why? Because we are usually out of bowl contention. What it we were playing for a 10 win season in the Big East?
Move games like OU, Texas, Nebraska, etc to the end of the season and those games will be full or nearly full.

Why? We play/wrestle more teams out of confernce right now thatn we do in conference. The same could be said for almost all non revenue sports. Stop and look through the non revenue sports and their schedules for a minute. A confernce move wouldn't change that one bit

It is great when they win, and I am happy to see it, but if our soccer team doesn't have another winning season in my lifetime, I don't care. If the football or bball team stinks it up for a couple of seasons, grab the pitch forks.

It would be much better for a November game against Villanova than some crap contest against Texas or OU.

A significant decrease in the athletic budget might though. Hard to field non-revenue sports without money.

If? There is nothing to suggest we would start having 7-10 win seasons.

    This is accurate

You need to have a CT scan done to make sure there is matter between your ears.

Are you really putting wrestling and women's soccer on the same level?

    And, no it wouldn't.

Nobody in the Big East has large video boards?

    Rutgers is virtually same size:

I believe the post was about what the extra money will do. The scoreboard is the answer. Less money = less ability to pay off the debt we have on facilities (which I have to imagine is approaching $100,000,000 with the projects in Hilton, sports complex, JTS east and west sides, football building, basketball practice facility, scoreboard, etc.)
