Re: Big East move... dream scenario
"ISU to the Big East" and "dream scenario" in the same sentence makes me vomit in my mouth a little. I'll be honest, I'd probably stop paying attention if ISU was forced into an absolutely awful move like that.

I don't believe we can compete in a new Big XII. Our only chance was to compete in a Big XII North.
How many times, in our history, have we beat a GOOD South team? I believe the general definition of a defeatist is someone willing to accept that they can never accomplish more. Are you going to argue you don't have a defeatist attitude after this post? Also, Nebraska was a decent team.

Our fans are notorious for not showing up the last few weeks of the season. Why? Because we are usually out of bowl contention. What it we were playing for a 10 win season in the Big East? Move games like OU, Texas, Nebraska, etc to the end of the season and those games will be full or nearly full.

Hard to field non-revenue sports without money.

I think the loss of tv money could be supplemented by donor's and attendance money if we start having consecutive 7-10 wins. If? There is nothing to suggest we would start having 7-10 win seasons. Are you really putting wrestling and women's soccer on the same level?
And, no it wouldn't.

Rutgers is virtually same size: I believe the post was about what the extra money will do. The scoreboard is the answer. Less money = less ability to pay off the debt we have on facilities (which I have to imagine is approaching $100,000,000 with the projects in Hilton, sports complex, JTS east and west sides, football building, basketball practice facility, scoreboard, etc.)
