Basically eliminates the chance of playing any decent non conference teams and pisses off the rest of the Big 10 on top of that
not to ention the financial ramifications involved
how is there no TV? during season they will be playing a B1G team..won't all conference games still be on TV? seems like it would punish all other teams as well

Damn, the NCAA did whack OSU pretty hard.
Finally the NCAA is going to hand out a real penalty on an elite program. It is about time they did. Now, how about doing this and taking away 6 scholarships to Auburn? USC ended up getting a slap on the wrist. This is more in line with what should happen to schools that have a culture of cheating.
I think that is a hard punishment. I have not followed the case all that closely, but think it may have gone just a little too far. Now Miami, they need the entire sanction book thrown at them.
This is one of those cases where inequal revenue distribution makes sense. OSU should get $0 from its tv contracts.Quote:
