the only way you think Luck isn't a heisman favorite is if you haven't watched him play. incredible football player. operates that offense with uncanny poise and control, plus he can make every throw you ever want. the stats may not be madden like, but he is by far the best total package QB in college and i can definitely see why he's being hyped as the best pro prospect in decades
Sometimes it's a media thing or a lifetime achievement award but I wouldn't have a problem with Luck winning it. He's having a great year and is a true leader on a team that doesn't have the talent level of an Bama, LSU or Oklahoma. If he has a big game against Oregon, you might as well give him the award then.

I agree, the guys a stud but since when did the Heisman go to the best player? It's all about stats and media hype.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan.
He gets huge points in my book for not only not running a training wheel spread offense like a lot of QBs, but for calling a good chunk of the plays himself.
ESPN and the media are jerking each other off to make sure this kid wins it. It also doesn't hurt that they are undefeated. He's got talent and should be the #1 pick in the NFL draft for next season.
His numbers aren't the greatest but he wins day in and day out. That's your explanation.
Might be just a little bit of an overstatement. So your saying a player should be penalized if their offense is more impressive, or they are in a system that is more efficient. If Baylor had Stanford's schedule I guarantee Baylor would be undefeated. How would Baylor look without RGIII? Other people deserve it more than Luck who is putting up good numbers against cupcake competition
If you are going to accuse people of overstatements, you should probably refrain from phrases like "I guarantee Baylor would go undefeated".
And if you saw any of the game last night, you would understand that the dude is pretty good.
