I disagree. I think that he'll have a lot of success at SMU. Gilbert seems like the perfect case of a guy who needs a change in scenery. I think he'll thrive in that offense.

Pointing out that he wasn't a good QB is not hating. I never said anywhere I want him to fail. But I understand its probably nice being on your high horse

I guess time will tell. I never really saw anything from him to make me thing he is a good QB, but maybe the move will help

I wouldn't be shocked to see him in the NFL some day. No doubt he has the potential to be really good. Can he reach his potential?

Saying someone is on their high horse after saying a college quarterback sucks?

and saying they can suck at a different school is basically saying that you want them to fail

After looking at GG's stats, I admit I am wrong about him sucking. His 13 TD passes and 23 Int's are clearly Heisman type numbers. I apologize to Garrett Gilbert and all of the Garrett Gilbert fans on this site

With June Jones as the head coach at SMU, Gilbert will only get better. Jones knows how to find talent and then bring out the best in each and every one of them. This could be a present landing in SMU's lap.

Nobody said he had a good career at Texas. Kids got potential and could do well moving to some lesser competition and a new system.
