Notre Dame is my second favorite college team, the have a great history and tradition over there in South Bend. I feel that they should not be doing alternate uniforms for the reason that Notre Dame is such a brand by itself, they don't need gimmicks to get butts in the seats and get people talking about them. IMHO.

They haven't really been all that 'relevant' in the national title picture since Lou Holtz was still coaching there.

I'm not arguing that they are undeserved of their status in college football, but I can understand the argument could be made if it's about recent performance.

*Yawn* Please, this argument is overplayed. There have only been a handfull of teams that are in the "national title" picture since 88. It seems to be the same characters year in and year out with a surprise one and done scattered about. They've had their years when they most certainly could have been contenders but squandered it away. However, people make it seem like ND is the only school to do this. Take a look at Iowa last year. They were in the "National Title picture" at the beginning of the season in a lot of peoples minds (not just Hawk fans), and their season went to ****. ND is and will always be a household name when it comes to college football.

If I followed a rainbow to the end and found only that helmet, I would shoot the leprechaun in the face with a bazooka and then burn his village down.

apples and oranges, 21. First off, I like the idea of the white helmet for ISU (or uni), no problem with it whatsoever. This Notre Dame helmet, sorry, not impressive. It looks like the prize you'd find in a box of Lucky Charms. Am I jealous as you said?

Because those ISU uniforms actually looked cool..these are just messed up.
