BCS Standings today
What will they look like? With all the upsets, there is going to be some major movement
This is what I think it will look like for the Top Ten. What does everyone else think?
1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Arkansas
4. Virginia Tech
5. Stanford
6. Oklahoma State
7. Boise State
8. Oregon
9. Oklahoma
10. Houston

Re: BCS Standings today
We're going to get an LSU-Alabama national championship game... which stinks. I doubt I'd even watch that. The first game was bad enough, I don't want to sit through it again.

They are both very good teams, but because their D's are so good, they made the first match up very boring.

I don't know how I feel about having a non-conference champion playing in the game, especially since strength of schedule shows that it isn't the strongest conference, but whatever.

Re: BCS Standings today
I just hate having rematches in for the national title game. Would you like to watch OU vs. OSU for the title game? I wouldn't.
What happens if Alabama beats LSU by one point in the title game? All that means is that they played twice this year and LSU won by 3 pts in one game and Alabama won by one point in the other game, but Alabama would be the champs for that?
How stupid.

How stupid. What happens if we had a playoff and the same result happened or worse yet, a team like Michigan got hot and ran the table in a playoff?? I don't see where a playoff solves anything.

Re: BCS Standings today
Just think about this, if LSU loses to Arkansas, Alabama loses to Auburn, and then Arkansas loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship game, all hell breaks loose.

Re: BCS Standings today
The guy last night on Sportscenter had:
1. LSU
2. Bama
3. Arkansas
4. Okie St.
5. Stanford
Those were his "projections"

Re: BCS Standings today
What if the Big 12 wins 6-8 bowl games? It will have been the most dominant non-conferece season in the modern history of college football with no teams from the league in the title game. A league being basically perfect outside of Kansas in non-conf play.
It's also not fair to LSU to make them beat a team they already beat on the road again. This is the ultimate year for a playoff, in some ways it's even more of a mess than 3-4 quality unbeaten teams.

I don't buy this whole "not fair to LSU to have to beat Bama twice" argument. They don't have to beat them twice, just once.
ASSUMING 'Bama is the #2 team it would be much more unfair to keep them out. They have only one loss and it's to the #1 team. How is it fair to keep them out of the title game IF they're the #2 team? They would have done all that is normally required to be in the NC game.

Re: BCS Standings today
I'm seeing OSU trump Arkansas for #3 due to strength of schedule. AR 's wins haven't been that impressive.

Re: BCS Standings today
I really wish Boise wouldn't have lost. I really think the humans would go away from the rematch, but at this point you can't justify anything but a rematch.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read.
