Wrestling ...Wartburg Knights 16 - Wisconsin Badgers 16

Re: Wrestling ...Wartburg Knights 16 - Wisconsin Badgers 16
Wartburg and Wisconsin tied 16-16, but the Badgers were awarded the victory by virtue of the new total match points tiebreaker.
Badgers had more total in-match points than Wartburg. A few years back at an Indianola vs Hoover (could be wrong on Hoover) high school dual it came down to 8th or 9th tie-breaker criteria.

Looks like this is a first, change in rules for regular season duels. On the first page of the attached, it has the tie breaking criteria. Much simpler than high school. Wisconsin won on third criteria. http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/rules/wrestl...12_%202013.pdf

In match points? How does that work if you for some reason might pin a kid right away.
Its been a couple years since Wartburg has beaten a D1 in wrestling... would have been a nice victory :(

Thanks!
I wonder how Wartburg would stack up against ISU this year.
