Since 2005, North Texas hasn't won more than 3 games in any given season- until this year. In his first season, McCarney has got the Mean Green to 4 wins and will likely be favored to win the last of the season against Middle Tennessee. Just short of bowl eligible and a even season...not bad for a first year in a place that has had some bad ball for a while.
Good way to break in their new stadium.

DMac is a great coach and UNT will only get better under him. Good for Dan on 4 (or 5) win season.
Good for him! I try following ISU, Hawaii and North Texas. As the season progressed, I kind of lost track of NT since they often play at the same time we do.
I think he can see success there. New stadium, Texas recruiting in the backyard, his ability to moticate and a weak conference. He should be able to really build that program.
Congrats Coach Mac!!! Outstanding job this season.
