Who is #2?
Great piece by CBS Sports on blindly comparing potential #2 teams. So who is the real number two? - CBSSports.com
Who did you vote for? Team B for me.

Wow. It was B then D then F for me. I hope every voter in BCS looks at this. Especially if Okie St can beat OU.

Toss up between B and D, but the comparison doesn't look at losses at all which makes it kind of pointless.

Team B. We all know who it is.

Okie State had better wins, but also a worse loss (probably much worse). But then Alabama can't even win their own conference, but is it their fault they play in the conference with the #1 team? Not really a clear cut favorite either way, but I think OSU's loss to us will be the nail in the coffin when all is said and done.

They are missing the biggest stat of all...last loss.

But I think 5 top 20 wins to Bama's 2, and the fact that Bama isn't in the SEC championship should count for something to OSU. OSU may win the BIG 12- the second best conference all year.

OSU clearly has the better body of work, even when you add the loss into the rest of the games.

Team B. People are hating on ISU in the comments.

IMO..you should not have the opportunity to play for national championship when you are number two in your conference (let alone division)! What happens if Alabama wins rematch, that would make them 1 -1, who is champ then. You could argue they are second best team easily, but you KNOW they got beat by number one. Someone elses turn.

Re: Who is #2?
They talk about Iowa State being a bad loss and point to our record. We have one of the toughest schedule in the country, but I'm guessing they don't know that.
Alabama had their shot and lost. What happens if they play LSU again and this time Alabama wins by a field goal on a neutral field? Should they really be considered the national champion because at that point they split the season series? Or should LSU still be the champion because they won by a field goal on the road so it's a more impressive win?
