It's because university security, police and prosecutors are too busy sticking it to kids for public intoxication, you know, the important stuff.

ESPN seems to have no ethics, impartialness or control with its investigative journalism. They figure out what side they're taking and try to drive it down our throats. The role they played in backing Craig James in running Mike Leach out of Texas Tech was ridiculous

I hate ESPN, I hope they get in deep ****. The guy (Davis) made the recording. So he could have turned it over to the police.
Also, ESPN didn't have a comparator voice recording at the time and didn't want to risk it turning out to be a fake. But I think that's something they could disclose to the police and let the police figure it out. "Here's the tape. Here's how we got it. We don't know if it's Mrs. Fine or not, that's your job."
