Just out of curiosity, how many people around here have denied that McDermott is a great player this year? The way you keep carrying the banner and posting snarky lines about it, you'd think everybody thinks he sucks and they're in need of serious crow.

McDermott is a very good player, but I doubt he would be as productive on a team like KU, UNC, UK, etc. He doesn't have the same level of talent around him and he doesn't play the same level of athletes lots of other conferences have. Not saying he couldn't play at a bigger name school, but playing in the MVC inflates his numbers quite a bit.

I'm pretty sure that everyone around here realizes how good of a player he is. At the same time, we are happy that he does not play for ISU because that would mean that GMac would still be around. I personally have nothing against him and I think it's awesome to see him putting up those numbers.

Exactly, good for him, but, if we had him, his dad would still be coaching here and we would still suck.

I watched #3 Anthony Davis for the 1st time this week..he's fun to watch. Too bad he plays for kentucky. He blocks everything in sight

I don't think I've turned the news on once this week and NOT heard a Dougie reference. Even if he has an off night, they still find a way to squeeze in a little blurb about what he's up to.

He is shooting 61% from the field!!!! That is nuts.
