***Conference Tourney Thread***
Believe it or not, conference tourneys started yesterday...
Yesterday, Big South started
Today, Horizon starts, Butler plays and if they lose will not be a final 4 member for the first time in 3 years.
The important games regarding bubble teams don't begin until tomorrow.
Tomorrow (possible teams we need to cheer for or team to root against if you hate Iowa alot)
-------------
At-Sun (Belmont)
Ohio Valley (Murray St.)
Patriot (nobody, though want Bucknell to lose so Iowa gets no NIT bid)
West Coast (Gonzaga, St. Mary's)
I'll update this when teams relevant to the bubble play...the good games don't start til March 1 but it's championship week!

Re: ***Conference Tourney Thread***
Harvard has to beat Cornell and have Penn lose to either Yale or Princeton or there will be a 1 game playoff in the Ivy for the auto berth

Re: ***Conference Tourney Thread***
At this point, I don't think that ISU is in danger of losing out on a tournament slot regardless of what happens in any of the other tournaments. We are playing for seeding now.

Re: ***Conference Tourney Thread***
If teams still bids, does that hurt our seeding?
Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd -

Root for Murray St. tonight..I'm rooting for VMI and Florida Gulf Coast so Iowa doesn't get to the NIT.

That's what I was thinking too. I'm really looking forward to that Wichita St. v. Creighton game. Hopefully they both make it and don't steal one. Although, it might be nice for creighton to lose and drop out and for us to beat baylor and get ranked. Poetic Justice.

Tennessee State taking it right to Murray State, but their best player just sat down with 4 fouls, and 15 minutes to play.

Re: ***Conference Tourney Thread***
Not looking good for Tennessee State right now.

Re: ***Conference Tourney Thread***
I thought Murray State would have a 6 point lead right now. Less dramatic than I expected, but it's about to be over.
Tennessee State's guy will come back soon, but he'll be cold, and the game's momentum is going entirely away from his team. I don't think he'll go back to dominating.

Is anyone else's ESPN connection not working?
