Interesting Perry Jones III Article

This made me earn a lot of respect for Perry Jones. One interesting part of the article is that he and his family say one Big 12 school did offer him money during recruitment and Baylor did not. There is really not much doubt in my mind that was Kansas.

Not sure why KU would need to offer him money- they're choosing between 5 stars and 4 stars most of the time.

No idea. If this was a blind question with Player A getting offered cash by Big XII team B, I'd say Baylor. Obviously, the insinuation was that it was someone else. I'd guess a struggling South school. Not sure which.

Which teams have replaced coaches recently? Us(don't really think so), TTU, A/M, Mizzou, OU. My guess is it was OU. Capel's program was far dirtier than anyone could have imagined.

Love the article. That A.J. Walton line stood out: "He's finding his roots instead of his leaves."
PJ3 sounds like a deeper guy than I was guessing without knowing much about him.

I'm not sure why you guys are only looking for one program. Doesn't the article say one Big 12 team offered money and another offered jobs for the family and a new house?

Pretty easy to figure out who it was. At that time there was only two Big 12 schools still recruiting him. One school has more money than any other school in the country and the other has an athletic department ran by an oil man.

By the way, just because I have a new found respect for Jones doesn't mean I won't be rooting for him to have another terrible game tomorrow night.

Yes. A horrible night against us should lead to more adversity, which will further build his character, and perhaps lead to another heartwarming story such as this one.
