All 4 Iowa Teams make Post Season

Well it appears NCAA basketball is slowly becoming more like football where everybody with a .500 record gets in.

This year we have....
68 NCAA teams ( Iowa State ),
32 NIT teams ( UNI, Iowa ),
16 CBI teams ( including Pitt, Washington State, Oregon State and TCU )
32 CIT teams ( Drake )

That's 148 teams in the post season

The Elite 8 is about the equivalent to your BCS bowls.

Define postseason? 68 basketball teams get a shot to play for a national championship compared to 2 football teams.

I count the NIT as making the post-season.

The CIT/CBI doesn't count. If you have to pay to play in a generic tournament with almost zero media coverage you didn't "make" anything.

At least the Hawks are playing on ESPN tonight. That's respectable.

Agreed with that. There's a reason a lot of teams wont even consider involvement with the CIT\CBI.

It's to the point where if a college basketball team doesn't make it to any form of post season play (or at least be offered the opportunity), it was a pretty sad year for those teams.

Major fail unlike FB where 70 of 120 teams make a bowl in BB there are over 300 D 1 teams
