You also have to realize the system that he is playing in. It is not meant for players to take guys off the dribble and creat their own shot. It is set to be run by a pass first point guard and to get it into the post. I think you can look at a guy like Paul Pierce and see the kind of numbers he put up in Roy's system his freshman and sophomore years and then look at what type of player he has been in the NBA. I think they are very similar type of players. If you watched the KU game, remember how Harrison ended the first half? He was on a tear. KU decided to change up the way they were defending in the second half to shut UNC down. Yep, if you watched the whole game this was clear as day. HB was heating up to end the first half and Self completely switched up his D. Roy failed to adjust and his team got completely shut down and ended up getting blown out of the building. I think KU ended that game on a 12-0 run.

I can't believe 'Ol Roy is taking no heat for this loss. He got beat by a junk defense to get to the final four (sorry if that's trademarked too, NCAA). They basically threw Barnes the ball down the stretch and said, "go score.....and no we will not set any screens for you."
Zeller, Henson, and 'Ol Roy should be buying Barnes lunch for a year for being their human shield on this one.

Re: Harrison Barnes
Anyone out there still "DON'T" wanna question his integrity?
The Business school bull****?
Still think the kid (with the mannerism of a priest) believes in his education?
If you are wondering what I'm going off about, just read the opening thread.
Interesting how the Mods moved this thread to the "General College Sports thread" - but kept the "Harrison to announce decision today" thread on the mens BB cat.

His word is good as gold according to the press and HB... He won't go NBA after just 2 seasons... Heck He has that Business degree he's going out of his way to get. I still have the video where he said that his ultimate goal was getting that Business degree! (right) ...and now he says the same thing about making it to the NBA. (I'm beginning to see his integrity)

It means that you lack integrity. People with integrity don't change their minds, no matter what happens in their lives.

I remember when he was all high on NC being a great business school and all. I mean who did he think he was fooling? I never had the chance to stick a microphone in his face and ask him, but wasn't it clear he was going NBA after a season or two? ...couldn't he have done that here??? ...if you say he wanted to be part of a National Championship team, I'd say, "well, how's that workin' out for ya?" ((If there were other threads on this forgive me)) Chances of a national championship at ISU: slim.
Chances of a national championship at UNC: much more likely.
North Carolina got hit by injuries. Nobody could have foreseen this. How well would WE have done this year if Royce White had sprained an ankle midway in the season, for instance? Take away any two of their injuries, and they get the national championship, IMO.

I played basketball with him when he was a freshman at Ames High and he always said he wanted to play in the NBA.
I'm guessing the business degree was what he wanted if he didnt have a chance in the NBA. But, I believe the NBA was the goal all along.

OK, tarheel fan. Only a tarheel fan says something like this. Oh, wait, ISU was without a point guard and their top point guard recruit didn't make it at semester. Clearly would have made ISU Big 12 champs and national champs.
Norther Carolina lost 4 games this year and were drilled by FSU. They also played in a weak league. Duke lost to a 15 seed. Wait, wasn't that the team UNC struggled with this year.
Get real. UNC got owned by Kansas, a team ISU beat at home and led by 10 most of the game AT KANSAS. UNC simply put was not that good.
