During the press conference someone asked if it is possible to restore the relationship/trust between Petrino and the fanbase and the AD said something along the lines that he expects that will happen...

No, but "inappropriate relationships" (which is what he claimed and isn't too hard to read into) with subordinates is usually frowned upon by employers and certainly by his wife. I actually wouldn't be surprised if his "trist" violated something in his contract, thus the supposed administrative leave and dock in pay.

Here's the sad thing: If this is a case of two co-workers enjoying a harmless recreational outing, the handling of the episode did everything to contribute to an untoward impression.
