Time for the Mega Thread to die...
The time has come for Chris to end the mega thread. Anyone else agree?

Re: Time for the Mega Thread to die...
No. People enjoy it, and it will hear you.
I welcome the continued dominance of Megathread and everything it decides to stand for.

What's next? Are you going to start telling your servers what to wear? Oh, wait.
“Science investigates; religion interprets. Science gives man knowledge, which is power; religion gives man wisdom, which is control. Science deals mainly with facts; religion deals mainly with values. The two are not rivals. They are complementary.”

Re: Time for the Mega Thread to die...
The fascination people have with the "Megathread", whether they love it or hate it, is one of the most head-scratchingly stupid things I've ever seen on this site. I have no problem with a long-running thread about conference realignment, but things like people posting absolutely nothing just to reach "X" amount of posts, or things like "must feed mega thread" just seem stupid, unfunny, and wholly pointless to the discussion in that thread. The constant "just get rid of it" is stupid too. Its just a thread on a message board. A point of discussion. Why do you feel better if it hits an arbitrary number of responses? Why do you get angry because it continues to exist?

- J.R.R. Tolkien So the mega thread is gonna take the one ring and fall into the fires of Mount Doom? Might be the only way to kill it.

Re: Time for the Mega Thread to die...
Listen, and understand. That megathread is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until college football has 4 super conferences.
