This is why football should have always been played on natural grass. Artificial turf was the start of a slippery slope to this sort of thing. I'm sure Barta is in his office right now contemplating an alternating black and yellow field.

It's red and gray, for whatever that is worth. Not my cup of tea, but they can do whatever they'd like with their own field.

Just a thought here but are there any rules as to what you can do to opposing teams sidelines? If it were me, I would paint theirs black especially if I was a team from a warm part of the country. You could just hope for some sun every game day and watch them sweat it out while your team was as cool as a cucumber.
