Boise State wins with 2 Star football players.
There are many who want to gauge recruiting success on stars. Tim Brewster at Minnesota proved that high recruiting classes don't necessarily equate to wins. Here are Boise State rankings that let to undefeated and one less seasons. Keep in mind, many of the two star players had no stars when they committed:
Boise State Recruit ratings (Rivals)

Boise State also doesn't play Big XII talent every week. I see your point, but I'm just saying :)

Low academic standards
Juco Transfers
Level of competition they play skew this stat

Re: Boise State wins with 2 Star football players.
Ok, so Boise State can win with 2 stars playing against a bunch of glorified FBS schools in 8 of it's games each year.
It's another animal completely to do that in the B12 + Iowa.
Not to mention, IIRC they used to have some pretty lax academic standards which probably knocked some of their athletes down a star ranking or so.
More years than not, Iowa would be BSU's toughest regular season opponent. In our schedule they are usually somewhere middle of the pack.

They allow partial qualifiers.

That said, I'm gonna trust CPR until he gives me reasons not to.

Re: Boise State wins with 2 Star football players.
Point is, the players are rated two stars and they win with them. And they win when they play top schools like Oklahoma. Ratings are ratings and their players rate low.
Over the past two seasons they have beaten:
Georgia
Tulsa
Airforce
Arizona S
Vir Tech
Oregon State
Utah
Toledo
(lost to TCU last year by 1)
plus their bowl games
They have a decent schedule.

Not even a close comparison.
You are off your rocker if you think you can compare the 2 situations.

11-Three Stars Excellent information. It won't, however, satisfy the contaminators. They would be doing their thing even if we signed 25 five star recruits. It is who they are.

A lot of times they rate low because they wouldn't get into any other schools besides Boise or a JUCO.
They are a lot of times 4* talent, with a 2* rating, because academics drag them down.

Re: Boise State wins with 2 Star football players.
I understand what your saying Ketel but it really is apples and oranges. I could list LSU's commit lists and say we need to only 3 stars and higher. Boise did that in the WAC as well.
But you are right, it can be done. Lets hope CPR is doing that with this class.

Put them in the Big 12/SEC they will not have the same results.

Re: Boise State wins with 2 Star football players.
We play to our competition. If we can keep the petal to the metal all season long, we can have a GREAT season, doesn't matter how many stars on players have in rivals.
