Re: Notre Dame to ACC as partial member
Big 12 needs to get back to 12 with big east schools quickly before the good ones are snatched up.

I bet Dodd's has already started binge drinking down in Austin! Anger, then denial, then negotiating, then... wash, rinse, repeat. Guaranteed he's soaking his sorrows. But maybe this means Texas will join the ACC next...

edit: stupid Pitt. I forgot they were ACC now. So that means they only have one more ACC game to add and I think BYU or OU would be the prime candidates to not be on future schedules.

Glad it didn't happen here. They're actively lobbying to become what the Big East was.

Turns out you can't be successful as a conference with only 7-8 football teams and a million basketball only schools.
The ACC doesn't have that problem. ACC's problem is that their star football programs have really hit the tank lately with only Va Tech being what they're supposed to be.

Re: Notre Dame to ACC as partial member
Florida State will not like this...I'll bet we see some Conference realignment action before the current ACC members are required to sign onto the new 50 million buy out.

Re: Notre Dame to ACC as partial member
Pretty good deal for both parties. ACC will likely get two home games a year against Notre Dame which should help for attendance and exposure.

You know, I was going to call dibs on Conference Realignment Part III, but I just don't care anymore.
FSU and Clemson, come on down! You're the next contestants on "Who wants to be in a new Conference!"
Now please God, make it all go away.

The deal makes some sense for the ACC, but that's the reason I didn't ever understand the Big 12 being interested in taking ND as a partial member.
