So what makes the author think they won't go 0-12? Who exactly does he think they will beat?
This is exactly what I thought. Will anyone be surprised when Fresno St. beats them? They won't win one conference game. Colorado is KU last year. I can see them scare WSU but that's about it.

Actually Fresno is favored by 14. I don't think CU has the horses to win that one in Cali.
They are experiencing a dark decade, that's certain. We have been there, so we all know what it feels like to be fielding a team that has precious little chance of winning. They really were a powerful program not that long ago. Add to it that they are pretty isolated in the Pac-12 and I think it's going to be tough rebuilding. On the upside, rebuilding would be a lot tougher in any of the other major conferences.

That's debatable...in their situation, they're kind of cut off from the recruits of Texas or Florida, and for the west coast recruits, they're pretty isolated, as you mention.
Heck I forgot they even had a football team. I guess out of sight out of mind. That and they are so irrelevant at this point they've fallen off the radar.
Too bad they aren't in the Big 12 anymore that would be another notch on the win belt.
