I agree. If we had that schedule we'd probably be 1-4 . Kelly is a heck of a coach.

Precisely. Show up for these next three weeks and then I'll change my tune.
    Navy beat AF today.

The defense for ND is legit. Still not sure about their offense though

Notre Dame deserves a top 15 ranking but they aren't national championship caliber, no way.

No way we'd be 1-4 against that schedule.

    Re: Notre Dame

Notre Dame's defense is top notch, still a lot of questions on the offensive side. All they have to do is win 9 or 10 games and a BCS bowl is a certainty so even if they lose to USC and Oklahoma I could still see them in the Orange Bowl

I absolutely want them back. A powerful ND poaches players mainly from the B1G and anything that lessens that conference is fine with me.

Standford and USC are not without their own problems. I't not clear to me that they are head and shoulders better than Michigan.

Well, for one, both Stanford and USC have QBs, whereas Michigan has a slot receiver that throws a football poorly...

    Re: Notre Dame

I'm an ND fan, so here are some of my thoughts:

ND's defense, which has been their Achilles heel in the past, is their strong point finally.

Their offense has only come alive against a poor Navy team and a decent Miami team.

One thing I absolutely hate is that Kelly has no problem switching qb's when things arent going great and then goes back to the other qb the next week. Maybe its just my hatred for Tommy Rees, but I dont think Golson learns much getting benched when things don't go his way and then starting the following game.

For those who say that ND hasn't played anyone yet, you are delusional. Sure the Big Ten isn't exactly strong this year, but going into East Lansing and blowing out MSU is nothing to sneeze at. Also, I dont care how weak the Big Ten is, Denard Robinson is one of the best in the nation and ND absolutely shut him down. I also agree however that Stanford, USC and Oklahoma will be better measures of how good this team really is.

Grant and I get to go to the ND vs Stanford game next weekend and I am absolutely pumped. I've been an Irish fan for as long as I can remember and I've never had the opportunity to go to a game in South Bend. Our parents live next to a kid who walked onto Stanford's team and ended up earning a spot on the defense, so we were able to get tickets. Its going to be an absolute dream come true for me and I cant wait.

    Shake down the thunder!
