I wouldn't be offended by this if I were a college WBB player. Women are just shorter overall, it's just the way it is.
Sorry but this is one of the best things bout wbb for me. WBB is fine the way it is. It's nice to have an escape from the world of men's hoops. To me a three pointer is just as sexy as a slam dunk and is worth 1 more point too.

Every single guy who hates on WBB talks about how boring it is, they can't even dunk. So, nobody watches, and WBB players do not have the same opportunities after college that MBB do.
Not this guy.

Re: UCONN WBB coach to propose lowering rim for WBB
I'm actually surprised there aren't more stupid posts on here than there are. Lowering the rim is unlikely to bring any more fans to the game. People who laugh at WBB now are still probably not going to be interested no matter what might change. It's not for everyone and I'm fine with that. I would personally rather have the 9000+ in Hilton be fans who actually care about this team and take pride in all the varsity programs at ISU, not the ones who show up just so they can say they were at a game and dismiss everything that doesn't appeal to them as "boring." It's fine the way it is. If you don't like it, don't go.
All people who make sweepingly generalized, stupid, uninformed comments are idiots. (maybe) -

Re: UCONN WBB coach to propose lowering rim for WBB
Geno honestly thinks significantly more people are going to watch women's basketball because women are dunking? Sorry, not to sound sexist, but I figured most people don't watch women's basketball because it's women's basketball. I mean, the only reason why I care about ISU women's basketball is because it's ISU, not women's basketball.

Re: UCONN WBB coach to propose lowering rim for WBB
There is nothing wrong with hating womens basketball. In fact, you couldnt pay me 50 bucks per game to sit in Hilton to watch it.
BUT.... I dont get why some guys constantly have to proclaim their distaste for it so loudly.
Let's all stick to something we can all agree on.... how lame soccer is.
