we are as bad as the Iowa fans who can't pronounce the Captains name.

I talked to an Auburn fan after Chizik was hired and he loved Rhoads (I was surprised he knew so much about him considering he was only around for a year). He literally gushed about him.

I don't think Auburn would dare to hire another Iowa State coach and I don't think Rhoads would go. But I do think that he would be a pretty easy sell to the fans and I think he is at the top of most AD's lists.

i guess..? he does have two national title rings (one as a head coach) and about a billion dollars in overpaid salary towards him. his pride may get a little hurt, but i'd be willing to bet he's still happy he left ames.

I guess it wouldn't be so easy to enjoy his losing if he hadn't been so classless in dealing with his players when he left; witnessing AU getting the pass from the NCAA because technically they couldn't "prove" Cam knew his Dad got pay-for-play; hearing, "Maybe it WAS you Iowa State" by a sportswriter after comparing his dismal record here versus winning the championship on Cam's back.

Yeah, it's really not all that hard to enjoy it a little if you think about it at all.
